In 2023, SKONEC participated in a digital restoration project of GUNGISI, a central government office that was responsible for manufacturing military goods during the Joseon Dynasty, including the world's first rocket weapon, the Shingijeon. The GUNGISI was established in 1392 (Taejo 1) and was abolished in 1884. In 2009, during the construction of the new Seoul City Hall, a large number of GUNGISI-related artifacts were excavated, and the GUNGISI Relics Exhibition Room is now operating on the basement floor of the building. The 'Virtual Reality (VR) Experience Space' created next to the relic exhibition room allows visitors to experience the history of the GUNGISI and the characteristics and power of the weapons of the time against the backdrop of the Great Daejeon War through motion-based virtual reality videos.
