DONUIMUN is one of the four main gates and was known as Seodaemun, but due to its lack of physical existence, many people were unaware of its existence or even mistook the completely unrelated independent gate for DONUIMUN.In 2019, SKONEC participated in a project to restore DONUIMUN after 104 years with virtual reality technology, recreating the landscape of Hanyangdoseong during the Joseon Dynasty, enabling users to enter and exit DONUIMUN, view the inside of the gatehouse, and walk on the city wall depending on their movement. For a dynamic experience, users can also experience the landscape of Hanyangdoseong around DONUIMUN while flying in the sky. The digital restoration of the Hanyangdoseong DONUIMUN is the first example of digitally reviving a lost cultural property and has provided a new alternative to overcome the practical limitations of cultural property restoration.​
